STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (March 22, 2017)—Mission Critical Partners (MCP) announced today that it will host a new continuing education series on achieving the vision of Next Generation 911 (NG911) interoperability. The series will include four sessions that will focus on the essential elements of building a NG911 strategy.

NEXT GENERATION 911 WEBINAR DATES

The first session, entitled Next Generation 911 Data Management Operations: A Pathway to Success, will take place on March 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Led by MCP’s geographic information system (GIS) subject-matter expert, Robert Horne, this presentation will discuss the migration from the legacy data environment to an NG9-1-1-ready environment.

The second webinar will take place on April 27 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Co-hosted by Next Generation 911 experts Dave Sehnert and Robert Horne, the session entitled, Getting the Most from your Next Generation 911 Policy Routing Rules, will discuss the importance of policy routing rules and Next Generation Core Services (NGCS), which enable emergency calls to be processed in an NG9-1-1 environment.

On May 23 at 2:00 p.m., MCP NG9-1-1 subject-matter expert Heather McGaffin will present on CAD-to-CAD Interoperability across Jurisdictions. This presentation will discuss real-world scenarios for establishing CAD-to-CAD functionality with neighboring jurisdictions.

The series will conclude on June 26 at 2:00 p.m. with a session entitled Radio Interoperability across Jurisdictions and the Role of FirstNet. MCP radio expert Brian Malinich will discuss how to apply radio interoperability requirements to dispatch resources, and explain how this will expand with FirstNet’s implementation of the nationwide public safety broadband network.

“WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE WHAT WE’VE LEARNED FROM ASSISTING OUR CLIENTS AS THEY PREPARE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION 911 TRANSITION. OUR GOAL WITH THIS WEBINAR SERIES IS TO PROVIDE ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS TO 911 ORGANIZATIONS ON HOW TO BUILD A FRAMEWORK FOR NG911,” SAID KEVIN MURRAY, MCP PRESIDENT.
