Transition to become effective February 1, 2021
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (January 19, 2021) — Mission Critical Partners (MCP), a leading provider of services and solutions that support mission-critical communications, today announced that Darrin Reilly has been appointed chief executive officer. Kevin Murray, formerly chief executive officer, has been appointed executive chairman of the firm’s board of directors. These changes will take effect on February 1, 2021.
Reilly joined MCP in 2018 as senior vice president of corporate development and then was promoted to chief operating officer in 2019. In November 2020, he added the title of president. In this expanded role, Reilly became responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations, as well as organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
“Darrin is a proven leader who has excelled at strategy and execution over a 30-year career in the public safety marketplace,” Murray said. “He is well-positioned to lead MCP into our next chapter of growth.”
Murray further cited Reilly’s strong track record in growing organizations, driving results and innovating. “Darrin embodies MCP’s core values, is committed to delivering value for MCP’s clients and creating an environment where talent can thrive,” Murray said.
“I am honored to lead the outstanding professionals at Mission Critical Partners,” Reilly said. “In partnership with the executive team and the board of directors—including Kevin as the executive chairman—I am confident that we can build on the strong momentum we’ve witnessed ever since the firm was founded in 2009.”
Reilly further expounded on Murray’s role as MCP’s co-founder, particularly his exemplary leadership of the firm and of the public safety community, where he has made significant contributions throughout a career that has spanned more than four decades. “We are grateful for his thought leadership and his passion for improving emergency response outcomes for those we serve,” Reilly said.
As executive chairman, Murray will continue to play a key role and will remain actively engaged in MCP’s business. He will redouble his focus on business planning, long-term growth and strategy, and will continue to represent MCP with clients.
Reilly has demonstrated passion and dedication for the public safety community throughout his long career. Prior to joining MCP, he served as regional vice president of sales for NICE Systems. He also served as chief operating officer for TriTech Software Systems, which today is part of CentralSquare Technologies, and Airbus DS Communications (formerly PlantCML, now part of Motorola Solutions). He also served in various leadership positions at Motorola.
Reilly also served as chairman of the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT), for three years. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Since cofounding the firm in 2009, Kevin has led the firm’s evolution while focusing on partnering with clients to transform mission-critical communications to improve emergency response outcomes. Murray is a respected pioneer within the public safety community. He was a founding member and former chairman of the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT), formerly known as the 911 Industry Alliance. Murray is deeply passionate about helping clients, standards organizations and national leaders to define, develop and implement new technologies that will advance public safety communications and transform emergency services delivery.
Kevin currently serves on the board of directors of Mount Nittany Medical Center, the Mount Nittany Physicians Group and Penn State University’s Artificial Intelligence Student Challenge Board in State College, Pennsylvania. He is also an iCERT board member.
