STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (July 19, 2018)—Mission Critical Partners (MCP), a leading consulting and lifecycle management services firm in the public safety field, today announced that they have been selected as a partner by Charles County, MD, to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the combined career and volunteer fire, rescue and emergency medical services (EMS) system in place in the County.

During the course of the assessment, MCP subject-matter experts (SMEs) will conduct a series of stakeholder meetings, site visits and surveys, the results of which will drive the development of a strategic plan designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of fire, rescue and EMS, along with 911, operations throughout the County.

The final strategic plan will incorporate the findings from these meetings, site visits and surveys with best practices and standards to help the County achieve their project objectives, including:

• Identification of gaps in personnel training and recommendations for closing those gaps
• Improved fire prevention and public education programs
• Review of apparatus and equipment records and identification or development of standards for maintenance and vendor management, when applicable
• Using standards and best practices to identify or develop records management policies for use across the County
