On September 13, 2023 marked a significant milestone for public safety in Chatham County, N.C., as a new, state-of-the-art 911 center went live within the County’s emergency operations center in Pittsboro. Mission Critical Partners (MCP) is delighted to celebrate this achievement alongside the Chatham County Emergency Communications team. MCP provided subject-matter expertise to the project to upgrade the center. The effort resulted in the expansion of telecommunicator consoles from six to 16, enhanced resiliency and redundancy achieved via improved phone and network connections, and a better ergonomic environment for telecommunicators. We're honored to have been a part of such a pivotal project that underscores Chatham County's dedication to optimizing emergency response, and extend our warmest congratulations to the entire community, but especially to Mariah Brown, the telecommunicator who fielded the new center’s inaugural 911 call. With this new facility, the future of Chatham County's emergency communications is brighter than ever.
