We are pleased to share insights from a recent conversation that took place during the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) conference in Nashville, Tennessee, when MCP’s Nick Falgiatore shed light on the difficult challenges confronting public-safety agencies and land mobile radio (LMR) vendors, particularly in terms of supply-chain issues.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Falgiatore spoke about the multifaceted challenges stemming from the convergence of supply-chain disruptions, inflationary pressures, and rising interest rates. All of these factors are making it more difficult to cost-effectively implement and upgrade LMR systems that are the lifeblood of emergency response and vital to keeping the public safe.
