Overview & Agency Challenge
For more than 40 years, Iredell County’s emergency communications center and Emergency Management/Fire Services department, as well as Iredell County Emergency Medical Services and the Statesville EMS base, were all housed in separate locations. Each location was small, outdated and unable to expand to meet the growing needs of the County. In addition, the outdated facilities made for less-than-ideal working conditions and made it difficult to attract and retain an adequate workforce.
How MCP Helped
MCP supported the County through the design, programming and implementation of the new emergency communications facility.
Results
Completed in January 2019, the integrated facility has enabled public safety, as well as other county agencies and departments, to collaborate more effectively. The new facility also features improved working conditions designed with input from staff members that have helped to improve employee morale.
