MCP enabled Saratoga County to separate mission-critical communications systems that were being shared with two neighboring counties via a regional consortium. The result was greater independent control over its emergency communications infrastructure and operations, a strengthened cybersecurity posture, and a more robust computer-aided dispatch (CAD) environment. The initiative was extremely complex, with substantial technological and logistical challenges, but it was executed without disrupting 911 services. In addition, the project gave county officials greater visibility into its public safety communications infrastructure, particularly system performance, and positioned the county to pursue future modernization initiatives. Finally, the long-term managed services partnership between MCP and Saratoga County is providing the latter with a more resilient technology foundation to support emergency responders and the residents they serve and protect. MCP served as a neutral and trusted partner throughout the process, helping coordinate activities, facilitate discussions, and ensure that all parties remained informed as changes were implemented.
