Mission Critical Partners Announces New Leadership Appointments

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (May 1, 2019)—Mission Critical Partners (MCP), a public safety consulting and information technology (IT) support services firm, today announced two new appointments to its senior leadership team. Darrin Reilly was named chief operating officer (COO); he is based in MCP’s Southlake, Texas, office, and will report to Kevin Murray, chairman and chief executive officer. Succeeding Reilly will be Jason Scharfspitz, who was named senior vice president of corporate development and product management. Scharfspitz will report to Reilly.

Reilly joined MCP in 2018 as senior vice president of corporate development, focusing on organic and inorganic growth initiatives. In this role, Reilly was the executive lead for MCP’s first acquisition, Athena Advanced Networks, and has led initiatives of increasing responsibility for MCP’s two business groups, consulting and lifecycle management services.

He brings extensive leadership experience in the public safety industry to MCP. Most recently, Reilly was the regional vice president of sales for NICE Systems, Ltd. Prior to NICE, he served as chief operating officer for TriTech Software Systems, which today is part of CentralSquare Technologies, and Airbus DS Communications (formerly PlantCML, now part of Motorola Solutions) and he served in a variety executive leadership positions at Motorola Inc. Darrin also served as the chairman of the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) for three years.

Reilly has a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Scharfspitz joins MCP from Panasonic Corporation of North America, where he led mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investments and post-merger integration. Prior to Panasonic, Scharfspitz spent ten years with IPC Systems, a financial technology firm, where he led new business ventures, M&A activities and strategic planning initiatives. He also spent several years of his career working for A.T. Kearney, a management consulting firm.

Scharfspitz has a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
