MCP to Support Missouri’s Transition to Next Generation 911

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (March 1, 2021) — Mission Critical Partners (MCP) announced that the Missouri 911 Service Board selected the firm to support the statewide transition from legacy technology to an Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled Next Generation 911 (NG911) platform.

The board’s primary objective is to conduct an NG911 feasibility study, which will guide the state’s implementation process. To support the transition, MCP will conduct the following tasks:

Conduct individual jurisdiction and statewide 911 system assessments to determine the level of compliance with the National Emergency Number Association’s (NENA’s) NG911 i3 solution standard
Identify resources in existing infrastructure that could be used to develop a statewide emergency services IP network (ESInet), which transports emergency calls to NG911-compliant emergency communications centers
Complete a proposed state-level NG911 plan, including system solution recommendations
Guide the board and its stakeholders in establishing a procurement process for a proof-of-concept ESInet based on the system solution recommendations
